North from Rome

Jacket Notes:  William Lammiter, a young American playwright, goes to Rome to mend his broken engagement to Eleanor Halley, only to discover that she has become the fiancee of an aristocratic Italian count. Lammiter soon discovers that the count is mixed up in a narcotics ring linked to the communists-and soon Lammiter himself is involved in the hazardous game of international intrigue, where danger and death are never far away.
